Join us for the celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day throughout the city of Mankato! Enjoy community film showings of "American Indian Homelands: Matter of Truth, Honor and Dignity" at Blue Earth County Historical Society! Admission is FREE, and everyone is welcome to join this meaningful event!  

This is a documentary that focuses on the complex legal and political issues surrounding American Indian land ownership and sovereignty, highlighting the historical injustices faced by Native American tribes and the ongoing efforts to reclaim lost lands and assert tribal rights.
The film primarily explores the significant loss of Native American land due to historical policies like the General Allotment Act, and the ongoing struggles to regain control of ancestral territories.
"American Indian Homelands" is considered a powerful and compelling documentary that sheds light on the injustices experienced by indigenous populations regarding land ownership.
