The Community Partnerships Department of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Minnesota State University, Mankato, is committed to building strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, nonprofits, and government entities to advance equity and inclusion. We are dedicated to helping access educational, economic, and cultural resources to empower minority and underrepresented communities and foster a positive and sustainable impact on society.

MISSION

We are dedicated to building bridges between the university and the community, promoting equity and collaboration with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and local communities. We focus on creating strategic partnerships that address the needs of minority and underrepresented communities, helping access to resources and opportunities that promote social justice and positive change. We believe in the transformative power of inclusion and work to ensure that all voices are heard and valued.

To be a leader in creating inclusive, equitable, and resilient communities through transformative collaborations between the university and local organizations. The Community Partnerships Department actively hosts and participates in events that connect students, their families, and the broader community. As the most significant bridge linking community resources in south-central Minnesota, MSU supports the well-being of students, their families, and local residents by fostering collaboration and creating opportunities for shared growth.
