The Sustainable Justice Network is an initiative of the Department of Community Partnerships, under the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Minnesota State University, Mankato, that connects government, non-governmental, nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, students, and the community to address social justice and sustainability challenges. With a special focus on global changes and social injustices stemming from the climate crisis, this space fosters strategic collaboration to advance social equity and environmental sustainability. Through meaningful partnerships, the Sustainable Justice Network advances projects and practices that integrate intergenerational responsibility, strengthening the capacities of organizations and leaders to generate a positive and lasting impact in the region. |
To promote sustainable justice through strategic alliances that promote social equity, environmental sustainability, and community development. We seek to strengthen local organizations and the community through projects and activities that foster resilience, respect for the environment, and the well-being of all people.
The vision of Sustainable Justice Network is to be a leading network in the region that inspires and empowers the community to work toward sustainable justice, where ecological practices and social equity are integrated into the development of lasting and meaningful solutions for collective well-being.
Through the Sustainable Justice Network, we foster collaboration and collective action to address social and environmental challenges, bridging the gap between the university and the community. By uniting diverse organizations, leaders, and institutions, we create a more sustainable, just, and empowered society that prioritizes equity, environmental responsibility, and intergenerational well-being.
