University Security offers many services to our campus community. Services include: 24/7 patrol and dispatch, campus lost and found, area access control, safe walks, vehicle jump-starts and unlocks, and a safe and anonymous drug drop box.

The Security Department Services include Patrol Services, Communications Center, Parking & Traffic Enforcement, Locking Systems, Customer Service & Support Assistants, and Emergency Medical Technicians.
University Security is responsible for the safety and security of the campus but cannot do it alone. Safety at Minnesota State University, Mankato will be done in partnership between University Security and our community.
University Security achieved and was awarded accreditation by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA).

University Security utilizes a new system for authorizing building and room access. Departments can submit an Area Access spreadsheet listing anyone that should be allowed access to their areas.
The Security Department is responsible for the management of campus locking and key systems. This includes, but not limited to, key and locking systems control, cutting and recording all issued keys, key core repair or replacement. and the return of all University keys and locking devices.
University Security is the main Lost and Found site for the university.
University Security offers an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED & First Aid Course to the University Community upon request.
University Security offers a free walking escort 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to and from any University building, parking lot, or residence community.
Minnesota State University, Mankato provides emergency telephones spread throughout campus for easy communications with University Security.
University Security offers free vehicle unlocking and free vehicle jump-starting services on University property.
University Security provides a drug drop box which is available to the public for anonymous and safe disposal of prescription and non-prescription medications.
University Security provides and maintains Automated External Defibrillators (AED) that are found around campus.
