Education
I have a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from North Dakota State University (Class of 2017) and a Masters of Science in Counseling and Student Development from Kansas State University (Class of 2019).
Previous Positions
Prior to my current role I served as a Hall Director over a suite-style community of over 250 residents at North Dakota State University. I was in the role for two years post-master's work before transitioning to the Department of Residential Life.
What I Like about Being a Maverick
I like being a Maverick because I get to work and engage in a community that is always working hard to improve the world around them. Both our students and my coworkers are not afraid of a challenge and work hard to rise to the occasion. It makes coming to work each day exciting because I know at the end of the day we are working hard to improve the on-campus experience.
Professional Development/Involvement/Interests
I am very passionate about Equity, Inclusion, and Advocacy issues and work hard to bring that into all of the work I do. As an active member of our Union, I serve as a Union representative to the President’s Commission on Diversity and participate in various ACPA and ACUHO-I opportunities like the Upper-Midwest Regional Conference (UMR-ACUHO-I) and the Multicultural Institute (ACUHO-I) both of which I will attend in the Fall of 2021.
Hobbies
When not working, I enjoy playing tabletop games, reading thriller/horror novels, playing with my puppy, and eating my way through Mankato’s many hot spots. I like spending time thrifting and visiting antique stores, tasting/drinking Red Wine, listening to History podcasts, and journaling the day away.
