What I like about being a Maverick

As an alum, I have truly enjoyed seeing how the school pride has grown over the years. The institutional commitment to high quality, accessible education is what drew me here as a student, and I appreciate seeing those values still continue to draw exceptional students here from around the state, region, and country. 

Professional Development/Involvement/Interests

I am passionate about promoting holistic student success and I am excited to see the active steps we are taking to focus on this area. It is challenging to for students to succeed academically if they are struggling in other areas, so I see an increasing opportunity to support students' scholastic efforts through a variety of avenues. Specifically, I am interested in the connections between identity, living environment, decision making, and academic success.

Hobbies

No matter the season, I am usually outside doing something like hiking, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, or paddling. During football season, I avidly cheer for the Vikings and play fantasy football.
