Late Stays
Residence communities close at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3.
Need a little extra time to move out? If approved for a late stay, you will need to be checked out by a staff member no later than 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. If you need accommodations past May 5, you must sign up for Summer Housing.
Do you Qualify for a Late Stay?
If you have a documented reason for staying late, submit a late stay request in the Housing & Dining Portal. Requests typically fall under the following reasons:
- Graduating
- Participating in Commencement (such as band).
- Flight/Travel Arrangements
- Participating in a University athletic event.
How to Submit a Request
- Login to the Housing & Dining Portal and click the FORMS button.
- Fill out Late Stay Request.
You can expect an email response within three business days.
Cost
Requests received by 12 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, April 30 will not be charged for their late stay. Requests received after this deadline will be subject to a $50 fee.
Part of a Group?
If you are part of a group (such as band or an athletic team), do NOT submit individual requests. Your coach or director should work with Nicole Faust.
Staying for Summer Housing?
Do NOT submit a late stay request. We are aware of your summer living situation and will communicate directly with you about your transition to summer housing.
