Locked Out or Lose your Key?
Students who are locked out of their room can obtain a 24-hour loaner key and temporary access card from the Front Desk for a $5 charge to their student account.
Students are responsible for reporting a lost or stolen key to the Front Desk. All locks in the affected unit will be replaced when the key loss is reported. The cost of replacing locks and keys is incurred by the responsible student.
Students are issued a living unit key upon check-in. Students are not to loan or share their key at any time. University keys are the property of the University and may not be duplicated. Keys must be returned when students check out of a living unit or at the request of the University. Keys perform different functions:
- Crawford: Room keys provide access to student rooms, community bathroom, and mailboxes.
- Julia Sears: Room keys provide access to student rooms and mailboxes.
- McElroy: Room keys provide access to student rooms, community bathrooms, and mailboxes.
- Preska I Hall: Room keys provide access to student rooms, community bathrooms, and mailboxes.
- Preska J/K/L Halls: Room keys provide access to student rooms and mailboxes.
