African American Affairs is dedicated to serving both the current and future generations of students, regardless of race, because we believe in the shared humanity of all individuals. Our mission is to cultivate a strong sense of community and belonging, guiding each student toward their unique path to success. We understand that every student’s journey is different, and it is our responsibility to support them in defining what success looks like for them individually. The ultimate goal of our office is to ensure that every student not only graduates but also becomes a productive leader and engaged citizen in a globalized society. We exist solely for the students, and our role is to ensure they take full advantage of the countless opportunities available to them. Through events, programs, and services that promote identity development, character, hearts of serving, we empower students to explore the rich complexities of their pan-African heritage and culture—while fostering an inclusive environment where all are welcome to grow and thrive.
